Last night Eric and I went down to Blooomington for the Nickel Creek show. Given that it was the first time I’ve ever been into a night club or bar, I didn’t know what to expect. I was half thinking there might be seating, but nope, the majority of spectators watched standing on the dance floor. We stood about mid-center with a pretty good view.

The show was great, two and a half hours of live bluegrass. They played almost all of the best tracks off of their released CDs and even gave us a preview of a couple that are on their new record that comes out late August. The audience clapped and sang along with some their most popular songs.

If they ever come back in the area, I’m planning on trying to get to see their show.

I know it’s not that great of a picture, but my cell phone doesn’t take pictures in the dark too well. It’s the best one I got. Besides, after trying the flash, some scary looking guys headed my direction and asked around about flashes. And the flash didn’t help the picture at all.
