After the rain

Friday, March 31st, 2006

Tonight at the CYA “community dinner” thing, some of us noticed that it was sunny out shortly after the torrent of rain stopped (I guess it was fairly severe weather because the tornado siren went off…) and the coloring looked as if we were viewing the scene through an orange filter. The Task of the Artist

Friday, March 24th, 2006

From the library wall at school:
The task of the artist at any given time is uncompromisingly simple - to discover what has not yet been done, and to do it.
-Craig Raine, British poet
