Paparazzi!

No, this isn’t about those crazy photographers who like to follow celebrities around and take embarrassing pictures. Sorry. I was preparing to work on a presentation for the Library Project the other day, and my instructor suggested the program Paparazzi! (for OS X) to take screen shots of the websites we are working on redoing. I was suprised at how small it was to download…just 185k.

It works wonderfully. All you have to do is type in the address of a site, it will visit the page and let you save a PNG of the page. I was planning to use these pictures for a PowerPoint. I’m fairly sure it uses Safari to render the page, so if you are working on a site and it doesn’t quite look right in Safari, it probably will look the same for Paparazzi!. It sure saves taking two screenshots, merging them together with Photoshop and cropping the final to size.
